Enable Copy & Start on a Mission
What is Copy & Start?
Copy & Start allows mobile app users to copy a previously submitted Mission response, starting a new response with the same answers as the original response. This can save a user time on lengthy subMissions, especially if most of their responses remain the same between place visits. This functionality excludes photo and signature task responses.
Admins control whether or not a Mission allows for Copy & Start responses.
Enable Copy & Start
An admin can enable Copy & Start in company settings.
- Navigate to Settings in the menu located under the logged-in user’s email.
- Click the toggle for the Copy & Start Mission Responses setting.
To turn this setting off, simply click the toggle again and the option will be removed from all Missions.
Enable Copy & Start on a Mission
Once the company setting is turned on, Missions need to be configured for Copy & Start on an individual basis. This can be done by any web dashboard user. In the Mission builder, navigate to Settings and click Enable Copy & Start Mission Responses.
Enable Copy & Start in bulk
Missions can be enabled for Copy & Start in bulk within the Missions list. Select the Missions you wish to enable and click Copy & Start at the top of the folder. This provides the option to Allow or Remove the functionality from the selected Missions.

Legacy Mission Builder
Copy & Start is a feature that allows mobile app users to copy over the contents of a previously-submitted Mission Response into a brand-new Mission Response (excludes photos and signature tasks). As an Admin, you have control over which missions are Copy & Start activated.
When a user Copy & Starts a Mission Response, the Task Responses* from the original Mission Response are copied over into a new Mission Response, allowing them to modify/adjust only the task responses that have changed. This can be particularly helpful when a user visits a place frequently, or for Missions that are lengthy where only a couple of the Task Responses have changed.
Turning the Configuration On
Before you can activate Copy & Start on a mission, your Company Admin needs to turn on the feature in the Company Settings page.
If you are a Company Admin, you can turn on the configuration by navigating to the Company Settings page and toggling the “Copy & Start Mission Responses” button to the “On” position.
Once the toggle is in the “On” position, you, or any Admin with Create or Edit ability, can activate Copy & Start for Missions in the following two places: Mission Overview and when creating or editing a Mission. Admins with Mission Creation and Editing permissions will only be able to activate Copy & Start for any missions they have permission to view.
