Minimum Software Requirements for Mobile Devices

GoSpotCheck supports mobile devices that can run the two most current iOS operating systems and the four most current Android operating systems.

The GoSpotCheck Mobile App is supported on the following mobile operating systems:

iOS 11 and above,
including iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch

Android 6.0 and above

GSC deprecates support for any operating system that has been upgraded within the last 6 months. However, GSC has no control over hardware depreciation (e.g., the iPad Air 2 released in 2014 on iOS 8 can run iOS 13; however, the iPhone 6 released in 2014 cannot run iOS 13).

Android service providers ultimately decide if an Android device on their network can update operating systems; therefore, GSC can only guarantee support for the OS running on the device when it was manufactured, and the expected deprecation lifespan.

NOTE: We do not support jailbroken iOS or rooted Android devices for security purposes. If your device is already jailbroken/rooted, you will need to restore it to factory settings to use GoSpotCheck.
