Setting up Automatic App Updates (Android)

app_update.jpg

Rather than manually updating your app each time, you can set up automatic app updates!

We are often improving the GoSpotCheck mobile app to ensure our users are constantly having the best experience possible. This means we release new versions of our app often, sometimes even every couple weeks.

How to set automatic updates:
  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Auto Update Apps

Here are instructions to enable Automatic Updates on your Android Device:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device and click on the ‘Menu’ icon located at the top left-hand corner of your screen.
  2. Click  ‘Settings’ > ‘Auto-Update Apps’. You will have the choice to either update your apps only when connected to WiFi (recommended) or also when you have a cellular data connection (which depends on your data plan). Selecting either option will turn on automatic updates.

Please note that every Android device is slightly different, so these specific steps may vary depending on your device.
