Understanding the "New Places" Place Group
As your users acquire new accounts and add them as New Places on the mobile app, it's important to understand what happens to them once they've been added.
What is the "New Places" Place Group?
Any Place added on the mobile app will automatically be added to a Place Group called New Places. The New Places Place Group can be found in the Dashboard by navigating to Places > Place Groups and searching for New Places.
If you click on a Place in the New Places Place Group, you will be able to see which user added the Place and when it was added on the mobile app.
Keep an eye on your New Places place group to ensure that each new place:
- doesn't already exist in your place universe (more in Disabling Places HERE)
- is added to all relevant Place Groups
- is assigned all relevant Properties

If your company uses User Assigned Places, it is important that new places added via Mobile App are automatically assigned to the user who added them. If you'd like for GoSpotCheck to automatically assign New Places to the user who added them, go to Company Settings and toggle the setting called "Assign a UAP to Places Added in the Mobile App".
Exporting New Places
To quickly update the places in your New Places place group in bulk, select Export. Follow the link to download your file, make your edits, and then re-upload.
