Mobile Home Screen

Welcome to your new Home on mobile! The Home Screen congregates the most important parts of our app all in one convenient place. You'll find your Notifications, Recent Activity, and Progress Reporting, along with two powerful new tools - Saved Places and the Missions list.

NOTE: The old Places list is still available as a tab in the bottom navigation.

Check out the video for a full run-down, and read on for more info on these new features:

On the Home Screen, we've provided a brand new way to access your Missions. Previously, to view and complete a Mission Response, the first thing you had to do was to select a place. With the release of the Home Screen for mobile, users can choose to access their Missions in reverse order: select a Mission first, then choose your place. Details below 👇

Home Screen

When you first open the application, you'll land on a "Home" screen instead of the Places view. There are five main components of the home screen:

  1. Overview: Recent statistics showing the number of unique Places Visited and total Mission Responses you've submitted within the specified time range.
  2. Notifications: Quick access to your Notifications screen.
  3. Activity: One-Touch Access to any Mission Responses that are currently In Progress or Uploading (if applicable), as well as historical responses. Tap this component to be taken to the My Activity tab.
  4. Missions: The Missions section tallies the total number Missions that are currently available for you to complete. Tap View All to be taken to the new Missions screen.
  5. Saved Places: All-new functionality providing quick access to your favorite/most frequent Places. Tap the Star icon on any Place to add it to this list.

Missions Screen

On the Missions screen, you'll find a list of all Missions that are currently deployed to Teams that you are a part of.

Missions are grouped by their current availability, and then listed in Alphabetical Order. Tap the sort icon to reverse the order and find the mission you want, more quickly.

Mission Place List

After selecting the Mission you'd like to complete, you're taken to the Mission Place List. This view lists all of the places within a 25 mile radius of your current location, where this Mission is available for you to complete. Places that appear in this list follow the same logic as those that appear in your Choose a Place List (Up to 200 Places within a 25 mile radius, UAPs, etc). You can also filter out any Missions that are not currently available to complete (due to their Mission Availability Settings) by tapping Available.

By default, Places are ordered by their distance away from your current location, but you can tap the filter icon to sort A-Z or Z-A, and filter further by Place Properties.

By default, the Mission Place List presents places in a list view, but you can view places plotted geographically by tapping the Map tab.

Tap the Place where you'd like to complete the Mission to access the Mission.

Start Mission

On the Start Mission page, preview the tasks within the Mission. When you're ready, tap Start to begin your Mission Response.

After submitting your Mission Response, you're taken back to the Missions screen.

Edit Home Screen

Tap Edit on the Home Screen to rearrange and enable/disable the components. You can move the more frequently accessed components to the top, and turn off any that do not apply to you.

Saved Places

Screen_Shot_2021-03-17_at_12.08.11_PM.png

Instead of searching for the same places over and over again, you can now Save Places that you visit frequently, and access them from the Home Screen.

Tap the Star icon on the Place Details page or Mission Places page to Save that Place (tap again to Un-Save). On the Home Screen, you can swipe through and select from your Saved Places, or tap View All to see a full list of Saved Places. You can also see your Saved Places plotted geographically by tapping the Map tab.

The Saved Places list is ordered by distance from your current location, but you can tap the filter icon in the top right to sort A-Z or Z-A, or filter the list by Place Properties.

NOTE 1: To make room for the new Home button in the tabbed navigation, the Anywhere Missions tab has been removed. Now, Anywhere Missions can be accessed on the Mission Place List. If the Mission you've selected is an Anywhere Mission, a new place labeled "Anywhere" will appear at the top of the Mission Place List.
NOTE 2: The previous landing page of the app, the Places list, will always be available as a tab at the bottom of the screen. For the old experience of selecting a Place, and then a Mission, simply select the Places tab!
