Copy & Start a Mission Response

Copy & Start allows you to use a previous Mission ResponseThe data (response) a User submits to a Mission. as the basis for a new Mission Response. This function must be enabled by a Company AdminA person with a role of Admin can access the mobile app and anything and everything else in the dashboard. and allows UsersA person with a role of User is only able to access the mobile app, and has no access to the Web dashboard. to reuse some of the TaskA Task is a question in a GoSpotCheck Mission that allows you to collect data. There are 11 different types of tasks that you can include in a Mission, as well as conditional tasks. A mission can have as many tasks as necessary. Tasks can be organized into sections, which we recommend for particularly long and/or complex missions in order to simplify the work flow for your field users, as well as for reporting purposes. responses from a MissionMissions (often called surveys or audits) are a set of tasks for a group of users and places. Missions are the main event of GoSpotCheck. that has been previously submitted at a particular Place. This can be particularly helpful when Mission Responses are very long, or if you have to re-visit a Place and only a couple of the Task Response answers have changed.

Copy & Start pre-populates TasksA Task is a question in a GoSpotCheck Mission that allows you to collect data. There are 11 different types of tasks that you can include in a Mission, as well as conditional tasks. A mission can have as many tasks as necessary. Tasks can be organized into sections, which we recommend for particularly long and/or complex missions in order to simplify the work flow for your field users, as well as for reporting purposes., allowing users to update only the Task Responses that have changed. All Task Responses are copied EXCEPT for Photo and Signature Tasks. Users can then add new signatures and photos and edit any other Tasks necessary.

NOTE: In order to Copy & Start a Mission Response from your My Activity pane or the Place History tab, a strong internet connection is required. If you do have a strong internet connection, you'll receive a notification letting you know that the Mission Response was unable to be copied.

  1. You can Copy & Start a Mission Response from My Activity and from the History Tab for a Place.
  2. Navigate to either the My Activity or History Tab for a Place.
  3. Tap the submitted Mission Response you want to Copy.
  4. Tap the bottom left copy icon.
  5. Tap Copy & Start Mission.

TIP: If you don't see this option, contact your Company AdminA person with a role of Admin can access the mobile app and anything and everything else in the dashboard. to turn the feature on via their Company Settings page.
